Call for longform improvisors
January 24, 2015 1 pm
ASU Brickyard Third floor, Suite 395 699 S Mill Ave Tempe, AZ
What is the gig? Part of an interactive exhibit and performance at Emerge 2015: The Future of Choices and Values, an art+science event. It will include a 20-25 minute longform set inspired by an object from the future. The cast will be compensated for the performance.
When is the gig? March 6, 2015
Longform experience required. Harold experience recommended, but not required.
To be cast, you must be available for up to 4 rehearsals in the month of February, 2 hours in length each.
What are we looking for? Playful, imaginative, interactive, enthusiastic improvisors, especially meaning seekers and idea connectors. Ability to look beyond the literal to heighten the social, cultural and behavioral impact of actions or objects. Also: fun and LOLs.
“If this is true in this world, then what else is true?”
What do I need to do? Sign up for an audition session time in the form below by Friday, January 23. Sessions will be run in small groups and the format of auditions will be explained by the auditor/facilitator. Be ready for 2-person scenes and longform openings and group games.
