Volunteer at Emerge
Our 9th annual Emerge festival theme is “Eating at the Edges.” We are excited to host this festival in 2022 after postponing the original date in 2020.
We are curious, what does it mean to eat, as a human or non-human, in a time of increasing environmental extremes? What alternative forms of food production, distribution, and consumption could flourish at the edges of society, at the edge of what is known, or at the border between possibility and fantasy? What new forms of eating are necessary to create a more inclusive culinary world where deliciousness is accessible to everyone?
The festival will span from the Mesa Arts Center north campus to The Media and Immersive eXperience (MIX) Center.
Festival Times
Set-up: November 19th; 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Operation: Saturday, November 19th; 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Clean-up: Saturday, November 19th; Starting after festival close

Volunteers are needed before, during, and after the festival.
Shifts are approximately 3 hours.
