Playing with the Future

The family exploration area will give children and caregivers opportunities to imagine and invent with us at Emerge 2019! “Playing with the Future” features hands-on creative activities that the whole family can enjoy. Imagine what you can make out of a squishy material that conducts electricity, then invent a machine that will float or fly on a stream of air!

The family exploration area is a collaboration of the Center for Innovation in Informal STEM Learning (CIISL) at Arizona State University and the i.d.e.a. Museum in Mesa.

Both CIISL and i.d.e.a. personnel have expertise and experience in informal learning opportunities for families. The effort will also draw on the extensive library of activities of the National Informal STEM Education Network.
